Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Usage Data

You provide this information voluntarily when You submit Our contact form to request an estimate or ask a question. We do not require You to create an account to use the Website.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of Our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service. The technologies We use may include:

Analytics and Security Services We Use

  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Website. Google Analytics collects Usage Data through cookies and similar technologies. We have enabled IP anonymization, which means Your IP address is truncated before it is stored. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.   • Google reCAPTCHA. Our contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain Our Service, including to monitor the usage of Our Service.
  • To respond to Your inquiries and provide estimates for moving, packing and storage services You request.
  • To contact You by email, telephone calls or SMS text messages regarding your inquiry, estimate or scheduled move, as described in the SMS section below.
  • To manage Your requests and to attend and manage Your requests to Us.
  • For business transfers, We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets.
  • For other purposes such as data analysis, identifying usage trends and evaluating and improving Our Service and Your experience.

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers. We may share Your personal information with Service Providers to deliver and monitor Our Service, to deliver email and SMS messages You have requested, to schedule and manage Your move, and to analyze how Our Service is used. This includes SmartMoving, which provides Our scheduling and text messaging platform; Twilio, which delivers contact form submissions to Us by email; and Google, which provides Our website analytics.
  • With Your consent. We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.

We do not sell Your Personal Data, and We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

SMS / Text Message Data

If You choose to opt in, We may send You SMS text messages containing operational updates, moving quotes, appointment reminders and service notifications related to Your move. We collect Your mobile phone number, and Your record of consent, through Our contact form. These messages are sent on Our behalf by SmartMoving, the scheduling and text messaging platform We use to manage moves. Providing SMS consent is optional and is never a condition of receiving an estimate or any other service from Us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your mobile number and consent record are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the messages on Our behalf, and only for that purpose.

You may withdraw Your consent at any time by replying STOP to any message We send You, or by contacting Us at matt@jamesonmoving.com. For the full terms of Our messaging program, including help instructions and message frequency, see the SMS section of Our Terms of Use.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations (for example, if We are required to retain Your data to comply with applicable laws or recordkeeping requirements for household goods carriers), resolve disputes and enforce Our legal agreements and policies. Records of SMS consent and opt-out are retained for as long as required to demonstrate compliance with applicable telecommunications regulations.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You. Our Service may give You the ability to delete certain information about You from within the Service.

You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of the Personal Data We hold about You by contacting Us at matt@jamesonmoving.com. Please note, however, that We may need to retain certain information when We have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any such transfer to a third party.

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
